The Voynitsky Collection
The Voynitsky Collection is an examination of the minutiae that comprises daily life, based on a retelling of Anton Checkov's Uncle Vanya. The exhibition includes a 1/12 scale replica of the home where the characters of Uncle Vanya live and interact, a natural history display of their personal artifacts, a 100 page catalogue detailing how each artifact contributes to the character's private states of sentimentality, crisis, and ennui, and portraits of the actors in 1/12 scale sets that correspond to their characters. The Voynitsky Collection was created as a companion to Goat in the Road's 2015 production, Uncle Vanya: Quarter Life Crisis.
